The world’s biggest lithium ion battery has been installed in South Australia. After the state suffered a blackout last September Tesla boss Elon Musk offered to fix South Australia’s power problems by providing the world’s lagest lithium ion battery within a 100 day deadline or it would be provided for free.
Tesla will get the system installed and working 100 days from contract signature or it is free. That serious enough for you?

The battery was operational a day ahead of schedule.
South Australia Premier Jay Weatherill says “It provides stabilisation services, which is short bursts of energy for the purposes of providing frequency control.” He added “The second thing it does is potentially provide an extra burst of energy to deal with reserve shortfalls, the sorts of things that emerged yesterday.”
